The Unicorn Theatre would like to acknowledge with thanks the generous funding received from the Bay Treasure Chest (BTC). The support of the BTC has made it possible for Unicorn to offer even more extraordinary theatrical experiences to young people both as actors and audience.

Our new production is

Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie La Bird, the Whos, and many more favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical JR., a fantastical musical extravaganza that is so much fun for both actors and audience.

We will be holding Auditions for “Seussical, Jr.” on Saturday and Sunday, January 19 and 20.

Pegasus Program

We're so excited to announce our 2018/2019 creation project: The Pegasus Program Playwriting Festival!

During our past projects we’ve worked as a group of 10 or more writers to create a single production. Now, we’re asking for youth who are interested in working by themselves or in small groups to create  20-30 minute plays, some of which will be featured in our Spring Production in 2019. We will choose four 20-30 minute plays created by the group of writers to produce in the Spring.

Join us on Wednesday, December 12th 2018 for a brainstorming session at the Unicorn Theatre from 6pm-7:30pm. We will talk more about the process, get some ideas rolling, and have a meet and greet for any young writers who are interested in participating. The cost to participate is $20, which will cover you if you choose to participate as a writer, actor, director, and/or designer. You must be in grade 7+ to participate.

To RSVP to our brainstorming session, or if you have questions or concerns, please email us at
